At the heart of the kitchen stands Executive Chef Alex, whose journey reflects both discipline and discovery.

Born in Costa Rica, Chef Alex moved to the United States in 1993 and began building a remarkable culinary career. His talent and energy quickly earned recognition, leading him to work in top restaurants in New Jersey and contribute to the opening of highly regarded establishments.
By 2005, he expanded into New York City, helping launch a fine dining concept that achieved notable success. In 2010, he had the opportunity to work alongside one of the world’s top chefs, leading a pasta-focused restaurant in Manhattan that received critical acclaim.
In 2014, he brought his experience to South Carolina, where he continued to refine his craft and strengthen his reputation in the culinary community.
In 2025, Chef Carlos Echeverri invited Chef Alex to join L’Incanto—recognizing in him not just technical skill, but a shared philosophy of food, family, and experience. Today, Chef Alex leads the kitchen with a deep respect for Italian tradition, elevated through his global journey.
